What does Jesus say about circumcision?

Matthew 19:12

For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

--------------------------------------------------

The Jewish diaspora was well under way when Jesus was speaking these words, and the Jews were circumcising like crazy, long after the circumcision had lost any possible significance for the Jews to separate themselves from the ungodly nations which surrounded them at the time of the Old Testament, and well after their practices of cleanliness had taken on a purely ceremonial role, such as washing only the outside of the cup, etc.

So there were too many eunuchs: baby boys were being born having already been circumcised in their mother's womb, some were circumcised by men, and some, (like Origen,) did it to themselves.

Jesus is saying, in effect, that when the Jews performed circumcision, especially if the baby boy was born around sunset, when the Jewish calendar rolled over from one date to the next, and there might have been some doubt as to the lawful date of the child's birth, then those Jews must surely be put to death for disobeying the law of Moses, because they might then have performed the circumcision on the seventh or ninth day, rather than on the eighth day of the child's birth, as prescribed by Moses; to perform the circumcision around sunset 7x24 hours after a birth that took place about sunset would only have made matters worse, because then the uncertainty would have spread to allow a circumcision to take place on a lawful date possibly the sixth or even tenth day of the lawful date of the child's birth, doubly punishable by death under the law of Moses.  And to circumcise a child already in the womb before birth, that is simply unspeakable.

Circumcision is a good thing to prevent bacteria and fungal infections. It facilitates hygiene has nothing to do with reproduction or any stupid religious concerns. Bible thumpers are so ignorant. That's why governments support religion. Circumcision does not make one a eunuch, castration does.

It perhaps does if someone was to live in third world unsanitary conditions.  But for 1st world civilisations with access to soap and showers it is totally unnecessary.   It also reduces the amount of pleasure that a man gets during sex which should be enough to make all men not want one.

And totally impossible to the people who wrote such nonsense.  Not invented basic blood transfusions, but don't circumcise a child in the womb hahah hilarious.

Well, the Jews are in town, and there is quite an uproar, but I have to confess I have never seen so many Jews with such fair skin, light hair, and blue eyes.

The bloody and mutilated stump of a newborn's penis is very susceptible to such bacterial and fungal infections.

When they only give a cursory rinse to the outside of the filthy cup where they place their genital mutilation instruments in preparation for this partial amputation, then circumcision amounts to a castration by the time the wound and the aforementioned bacterial and fungal infections are healed.

The law of circumcision from the Old Testament was reinstated by the Baby Boomers (a.k.a. Hippies) in the United States about the 1970s, as part of a culture of resistance to the Vietnam War and a symbolic treason to the enemy at the time, notorious drug dealers and cripplers, the Vietcong.

Part of that culture is the infliction of every imaginable sort of emotional, sexual, and physical abuse on children, parents even at law to inflict such abuse, in every way, shape, or form they can get away with.  Nor does it end when the children reach the age of majority.  Baby Boomer Hippie parents are at law depriving even their adult children of their rights through civil commitment and job discrimination, arranged marriages, mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law from hell, forcing the agony of fleshly circumcision even on their grandsons, and so on and so forth.

Only Jesus loves the little children:

Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
