How could the earth be flat?

  2. I'm just wondering why there are so many people who believe the earth is flat - it's amazing how many Youtube videos there are on this topic, probably hundreds. I thought it was a proven fact that the earth was round, but who knows. The fact that there are so many videos makes me wonder if they know something I don't. Personally I don't think the earth is flat, but I'm open minded and willing to look into it. The reason I don't believe it's flat is because I believe it is hollow with openings in the north and south poles. I have heard several people talk about hollow earth and I don't think they're all lying about it. One flat earth video I seen shared this quote from Wayne Dyer: "The ultimate ignorance is the rejection of something you know nothing about yet refuse to investigate." I'm willing to investigate the theory before I reject it, but I do have a couple of questions to start with: 1. How could the earth be flat - surely there are people who have traveled around the whole earth, no? If you traveled west from North America wouldn't you eventually come to Europe or Asia? 2. If the earth is flat, what keeps the water from flowing off the edge of the earth? One theory I heard is that Antarctica is not a continent like we think but actually goes all around the edge of the earth and the ice keeps the water from going off the edge. Is that right?
