There will be always this kind of theories..
I honestly don't believe that he was poisoned, if someone wanted to kill him, he would be dead long, long ago.

Yes, he was poisoned by a bad philosophy and could only get treatment in sub-par hospitals with socialized medicine. But, he took the poison (Socialism) voluntarily to satisfy his need for power over others. Good riddance to a blight on the earth.

Why do we paint these leaders as bad guys? Because the western media tells us their bad people? I'm not saying anybody is a saint but when you're getting an image of somebody from another person's perspective you'll never grasp the full scope of that human being unless it's from their own mouth. And yes I believe there could be some truth to what Chavez said.

Seems like everyone wants a piece of the united states. First the Chinese supposedly hacking the systems of the United States. Then Russians saying the United States attacked them with missiles (The meteorite incident) and then now this. Not surprised of the rumors at all because that guy has been quite vocal and challenging towards the US. Emotions are probably running high now in Venezuela. All I know is cancer is spreading like wild fire nowadays. It can infect alot of people randomly. Not so sure if its related to "outside influences". Anyway RIP to him.

If your country is said to be a leader, there are aways arrows in your back for various reasons. Athough I question the US leadership position, when we need China to keep holding our notes for financial survival.

It's kinda fishy that he died so young, of a disease that's so easy to treat.  I'm sure he had access to some of the best conventional AND holistic doctors that money could buy.  Cancer is such a sad thing, but I believe there's a cure for EVERY sickness in the world.  A lot of the cure comes from eliminating certain things from your diet.  I wouldn't be surprised if someone really did try to kill him though.  Things that we see on mainstream media, are almost always different when you get to see them from behind the scenes.

Well you never will know what the real story is. Looking at his pictures he looked like a healthy man. Never seen his recent photos though but if he still looked healthy in them then I say this cancer story might not be true.

It is a possibility that Hugo Chavez was given cancer. I do find it odd that so many  South American leaders have gotten cancer, within a certain time period. Governments with the aid of scientists have tampered with diseases, viruses, and other biological material, much of it is top secret so one can only imagine how far things have advanced. There have been instances where persons have been pricked on purpose, and given harmful chemicals which have caused death. There have also been instances where persons are purposely given sicknesses and diseases, in order to track the progression of those sicknesses and diseases. So it is not too far fetched to question the death of Hugo Chavez.

The news is that there will be an investigation regarding the rumors that  Chavez was poisoned by his enemies. Should be interesting to see where it goes.

It has been the tendency of the ruling class to solve the problem of staying in power simply by eliminating those who might be causing problems to them, currently or in the future. It is nothing new, and rulers can be eliminating progressive fighters for many centuries.

Very unfair indeed. Cuban medical advances have been enormously advanced . To condemn them one would have to have experienced, and I am pretty sure you have not. I have. And I would be rether treated in one of the Cuban hospitals than in one of the regional US hospitals, unless one has unlimited funds to pay for expensive treatments in high class hospitals, you are better off in Cuba. So far as socialism being a poison, let me ask you a question, have you been enjoying your capitalism lately? How about  reminder of the three media that are still for sale being owned by Koch brothers, is that OK with you?

Who can trust any hospitals anywhere now a days. A new disease is being found in hospitals that has no cure, anti-biotics don't work, it eats your colon. Who wants to go to a hospital? I would rather die at home, that's where I was born. So be it.

Completely agree. People die everyday. World leaders are not immune to disease and they're certainly not immune to death no matter how positive or negative their public image is. One thing is certain, If there was anything Chavez  ever did to challenge the Corporate status quo all of it will be steadily undone over the coming years. I hope the Venezuelan people can stay vigilant.

Drone strikes are assassinations and the US has a well documented history of overthrowing democratically elected leaders and installing brutal dictatorships in Latin America. The US was one of the first states to recognize the leaders of the military coup that overthrew Chavez after his first massive electoral victory, lending the coup plotters significant material and diplomatic support. If millions of people hadn't marched on the presidential palace Chavez would probably have been killed, with US complicity. The US has little credibility as a promoter of "democracy" outside the US, only inside the US where the media is so biased and controlled do people actually believe that. If any evidence is found of Chavez being poisoned, the majority of the world will suspect US involvement due, again, to the US's well documented history of violence, mass murder and support for dictatorships, not democracy, in the region

I think there is a very good chance that Chavez was infected with something that gave him the cancer, and probably the heart attack that he died from, also. The pictures show him riding around in an open topped Jeep, and freely mingling with his people, so he obviously had a good relationship with them. ( Our own president sure does not do that ! ) So it is doubtful that Chavez was killed by his own country, he was well thought of there, but certainly not by the American government. After reading about the other 6-7 South American leaders who also somehow "caught cancer" in the last few years, it looks to me like it was a planned effort to eliminate them.

Pretty stupid comment to make. I bet you have never been to Cuba.
