Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of America: A Cult?

Recommended Posts

When the Baby Boomers took over from the aging Greatest Generation, they dissolved the corporation of the church, "updated" their articles of belief, reincorporated under a slightly different legal name, and established a website.

  1. [Men only.] A total circumcision, complete and holy in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
  2. [Men only.] A California haircut, like, well, you know, you suddenly need a haircut in the middle of the night when the moon is full, and well, you need a haircut for the salvation of your soul, and Jesus wouldn't recognize you on judgment day if you didn't have the right haircut.
  3. Jewelry and even wristwatches are absolutely forbidden, with the sole exception of a woman's diamond wedding ring.  "We're thieves and whores."  If you're obedient, you will be able to get up and make it to work on time without wearing a watch.

Dress: long pants and long-sleeved shirts are required at all times for men.  Sport coat and slacks but no necktie whenever they are with other "Christians."  Women are required to wear a skirt or dress, that comes below the knees but not so long that it drags on the ground, nylon stockings and high-heeled pump shoes, and a scarf over their head whenever they are at church or with other "Christians."

Ceremonies: numerous uncorrected grammatical and spelling errors in the confirmation, marriage, and baptism ceremonies, but these are redundant because circumcision is required, and marriage is by common law and enforced by mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law from hell.  No obvious errors in the funeral service: there is usually no doubt that the deceased is really dead at an open-casket funeral.

They lie, they cheat, they steal, they break into houses, they do drugs, they deal drugs, and so on and so forth.

It's time to preach to these people with the same judgment with which they judge others from the "original" King James Version of the Bible as specified in the updated articles of incorporation of their "church."

First, the circumcision.  For this alone they will be flayed alive and roasted in the pits of hell for eternity.

>>>And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. [Job 2:4-5]<<<

And why do they do this? One word: Schadenfreude. Like a dog breeder's malicious smirk at docking the tail and snipping the ears of a puppy, only they do this and insist that this be done to their own newborn children in order to satisfy their own sexual perversion of Abrahamic righteousness.

Second, they insist that a "Christian" must have three testimonies in order to be saved.  How strange is this? Exactly as strange as a man with three testicles. Let us turn to Matthew, Mark, and Luke for the testimony of Jesus' words.

>>>But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. [Matthew 18:6]<<<

>>>And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. [Mark 9:42]<<<

>>>It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. [Luke 17:2]<<<

And what does John the Evangelist say about this?

>>>He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [John 3:18]<<<

Third, they have a "movement" like clockwork at a certain time every month, when they formally ask forgiveness of their sins and have communion, with Manischewitz wine and imported Swedish gluten-free crackers of some sort of grain.  And Manischewitz wine?  They may as well serve Absolut Vodka with those crackers.

>>>And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. [1 Corinthians 15:37-38]<<<

>>>Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. [Galatians 6:7-9]<<<

Fourth, the "localities" which they maintain as certain jurisdictions after a sort where they issue open and secret judgments from the pulpit of their self-righteousness as well as inflict open and on the other hand secretive, collusive, and far-reaching punishments pursuant to those judgments without the possibility of defense or recourse on the part of the accused.

>>>Palmer, Alaska; Newark, Delaware; Chatham, Detroit, and Hancock, Michigan; Delano, Duluth, Kingston, Minnetonka, and New York Mills, Minnesota; "Flathead Valley," (i.e., Kalispell,) Montana; Wilmington, North Carolina; Gackle and Watford City, North Dakota; Aberdeen, Lake Norden, and Spearfish, South Dakota; Brush Prairie, Davenport, Heisson, "Lewisville," (i.e., Battle Ground,) "Tri-Cities," (i.e., Richland / Kennewick / Pasco,) Woodland, and Yacolt, Washington; Marengo, Wisconsin; Moorcroft and Sheridan, Wyoming; Summerland and Vanderhoof, British Columbia; and Barrie and Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.<<<

The "privilege" of marriage is made dependent not only upon the circumcision but also upon the ownership of real estate in one of the aforementioned "localities" with all the crooked dealing that entails.  Others refer to these "localities" as "principalities:"

>>>For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. [Ephesians 6:12]<<<

We believe in christ, the Lutheran doctrine, the augsburg confession, the smalcald articles, and the book of Concord. The bible as luther taught is the source and plumbline for doctrine. Sola scriptura. If it is not scriptural then it is man made doctrine. The firstborn leastadians use the luther bible in Scandinavia while the other congregations in the USA use the KJV.

We believe … in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only begotten son; Who was conceived by the Holy ghost; Born of the Virgin Mary; Suffered under Pontius Pilate; descended into Hell in gethsemane; Was crucified, died and was buried; The third day He rose from the dead; ascended into heaven; And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit; The One Holy Christian Church, the Communion of Saints; The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body; And the life everlasting. Amen.

The nicene creed and apostles creed.

The two sacraments: baptism and communion

Confirmation of the youth

The centrality of christ

We believe The doctrines taught by Lars Levi Laestadius, Martin Luther, john huss, john wycliffe, the bohemian brethren, the waldenses, the so called mystics or lollards, Jakob spener, john ardnt, john tauler, and other fundamentals of pietisim and (mysticism),st. Augustine,Jerome of Prague, the early church fathers, the apostles- which we believe all to simply be the doctrines of christ.

We believe in selected lay preachers, in that the congregation decides who they want for a labourer, along with selected missionaries and elders (bishops). We select Sunday school teachers, and committee members for general church affairs. These offices are bestowed upon one, not attained or granted by prestige or great knowledge or skill for speaking, but by true humility and self denial. The services of a meal and coffee are headed by a chosen group leader and all others are voluntary, along with custodial and general labor services concerning building maintenance and ect.

Church service consists of the serving of coffee before 11 am, the service starts at 11 am, starts with a hymn, the prayer, and then another hymn, Then a sermon from Leastadius is read, then another hymn, then a preacher is picked to speak to the congregation, usually reads the bible and talks alongside it. There is usually a movement, where congregants are encouraged to go to their friends and family and to receive and testify sins forgiven in jesus holy outshed blood, IF they feel the need. A hymn is sung and then announcements are made. If there are letters from other congregations from across the world, they will read them aloud before preaching. there is usually a snack or meal served after the service. All hymns are sung together whith the congregation, there are hymn leaders who are chosen who pick each song.we believe that singing is a part of the bond of unity.

Leastadius sermons are contained in postillas. Luther wrote postillas.

And other spiritual books are sold for cheap at the church, bibles for children and bibles for adults, catechism, small and large, Luther's catechism, hymn books, published books with sermons from church fathers, systematic theology written by Leastadius, history of the living christianity , elders letter books dating from Leastadius to present, and other spiritual books.

Communion is served the first Sunday of every month.

We are constantly encouraged to read said spiritual books, and familiarize ourselves with scripture, but also that we would interpret with the heart and not with the rigor of the intellect, for it is dangerous to exercise the mind at the expense of the heart.

We wish to be careful in all things.

We believe that the holy spirit will guide us into all knowledge and truth.

After Sunday services, people gather at one or anothers house to discuss what was read that Sunday, there is usually a spiritually intriguing question that someone asks, and everyone is encouraged to relate their thoughts and experiences alongside the question, then a hymn is sung. These happen more frequently around meeting times. Any understanding received through discussion is not for spiritual pride, but for edification and education through the heart in relation to our experiences, that we could be guided into truth through self knowledge of man's sinful nature and state.

There is Christmas meetings at a selected and voted upon congregation, Easter meetings, st John's meetings, elders meetings once every 4 years, and fall meetings. Missionarys are sent to and fro from the request of congregations. Missionarys are picked, they dont get to choose.

Elders are believed to be the watchers on the walls of Zion, given gifts of great understanding, they are not considered infallible or perfect, they too are men, and are servants and not bosses.

We put trust in the mother congregation, in gallivare, where the elders are, and look to them for guidance and counsel in how we may continue on the road to eternal life.

Preachers, missionaries, and elders , and all who preach, do not prepare a speech, for we believe that through prayer in the congregation, words are put into the mouths of those who where asked to speak, by the holy spirit.

Preachers, missionaries, and elders are not employed by the church, they lead ordinary lives and work at ordinary jobs. For the truth should not be used for monetary gain.

We do not pressure members for money, when there is a need for money, or someone needs, it is simply announced after the service.

We believe in one holy Christian church, that christ established one doctrine of christianity, not 35 or 5000, or 2, but one doctrine, one church, one faith.

We believe that christianity has been preserved throughout time until the present, through said doctrines of church fathers.

We believe that women shouldn't speak in the church, as the scriptures maintain.

We believe that women should cover their heads under the spoken word of God as scriptures maintain. (Scarves)

We believe that christianity must be grounded on scripture. (This is scriptural)

We believe that there should be no hierarchy in the church, but those that are chief are servants.(this is scriptural)

We believe that jesus christ is the head of the church.(This is scriptural)

We believe that organs and other musical instruments are unnecessary in that it is dangerous to become to carried away with outward worship.(This is scriptural)

We believe that Christian's should dress moderate, and wear our sundays best on the sabbath.(This is scriptural)

We believe that christianity is of the heart, not the intellect. ( this is scriptural )

We believe that christianity is not only in word, but in deed. ( this is scriptural )

We believe that christianity must be felt and experienced in the heart. (This is scriptural)

We believe that for one to interpret scripture, he/she must have the same spirit in which it was written. (This is scriptural)

We believe that one must first go through the order of grace to understand christianity( This is scriptural)..note…refer to beatitudes/5th chapter of Mathew.KJV…

We believe that the man is the head of the house even as christ is the head of the church. (This is scriptural ) - note-… not as a tyrant, or unfaithful.

We believe that man is to love his wife even as christ loved the church and gave his life for it.(scripture)

We believe that tattoos nose piercings and hair cutting to be vanity. (This is scriptural )

We believe that Christ's church is universal, that all would be called to repentance. That Christ's church is not built with stones but living souls. That christ established one church and one faith and one doctrine.( all scriptural)

We believe with luther, that the church is the bride of christ, that it is set as a light to the world to call all to the mother congregation, unto repentance. (This is scriptural)…note…that we know not who is called, nor who is visited by God. But that Christ knows those who are needy.

We believe that christianity is grounded in the heart and not in the skull.(This is scriptural)

We believe that christianity is best understood by those who simply believe, not those who study theology. (This is scriptural)

We believe with luther that works FLOW from faith.(This is scriptural)

We believe that man or woman has no ability by his own merits or works to earn salvation.(This is scriptural)

We believe with luther that faith is the only truly salvific way to heaven.(This is scriptural)

We believe that entertainment to the flesh is sin in god's eyes, and that we must walk after the spirit. (This is scriptural) …note…

television/movies/music, which persuades our mind and passions to the cares and enjoyment of this temporal life, which steals from the intamacy with christ, which draws one more into the conformity of the carnal world….

Revealing clothing/make up/fashion/vanity/tattoos/peircings/dying and cutting of the hair/ and scandalous behavior, which persuades our passions into fornication and lust, which persuades our mind to honor ourselves with prideful feelings and thoughts …

sports/competition/ambition, which persuades our mind and passions away from inward spiritual life, which draws away from christianity, which persuades our mind and passions into pride and enjoyment of the flesh…

Gossip/tale-bearing/busybody, which hinders others, causes offence, causes strife, causes bickerings and fault finding, which persuades us to wish evil on our companions and friends, which hinders some from comfort and causes unwelcome and distant coldness, which pushes some away from christianity.

gambling/betting/cheating/stealing, which persuades us to be dishonest and discontent, which persuades us to praise money more than God….

Alcohol/marijuana/mind altering substances that are used for pleasure and enjoyment..not to relieve, but to actively choose mind altering substance for personal enjoyment, which persuades our mind and passions directly away from inner spiritual life, which transcends christianity in importance, which takes grace given by God and disposes of it, which impedes and suppresses internal grief, which impedes cause for repentance…

Porn/masturbation/pre-merrital sex/fornication/lasciviousness/licentiousness/pedophilia/incest/homosexuality/transgenderism/ and all other heinous passions, which persuades the mind and passions away from christ, which impedes the spirit, which persuades our mind to fleshy pleasures and fleshy love, which dishonors what God ordained.…

Self Pride/self honor/self glory/self righteousness/egotism, which persuades our mind and passions away from God and christ, which places ourselves above others, which makes man or woman more than christ, in their own eyes, which steals from christ his dignity…

Outward ornaments/pomp/icons/imagery/idols/graven images/crosses/Christmas trees/ect, which steals the essential honor and glory from the one true God, which is invisible and all powerful who's temple is in the heart of believing souls.which persuades our mind and passions into tradition and vain thoughts words and deeds..

Birth control/abortion, which persuades us into selfishness and personal gain of temporal and carnal enjoyment of carelessness, which causes us to murder, which destroys gods given gifts, which hinders wisdom in life.

We are taught to hate the sin, but love the soul of sinners.

Whatever thoughts derived from personal passions and opinions let it be considered in light of scripture, that it would be rejected and denounced if it impedes the spirits work, but if not, let it be considered among the others.

Let all things be done in the name of christ.

Let us deny ourselves for the sake of christ.

That any thought word or deed would be examined, to see whether or not it pushes us away from christ or encourages us towards him.

That we would remain watchful for sin and temptations that would creep into our lives, and blind us within.

That we would always willingly want to be obedient to christ in all things.

That we would wish to lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty.

That we would follow in word and in deed, the teachings of the prophets apostles and church fathers, in accordance to christ and scripture.

That if any other preach a different gospel than that which we've heard, let it be accursed, according to scripture.

That we would lead and live a balanced doctrine, that equally emphasizes law and gospel, to bind and to loose, true heartfelt penitence and sorrow over our sins along with true heartfelt joy from the testament of the gospel which testifies our sins forgiven through the lips of those who bear the spirit.

That we would examine our hearts and souls before God, and earnestly wish for the truth in all things.

Thus we believe, and all other so called dogmatic RULES assumed we dictate and rule with are contained in one law…love one another, and the whole of the commandments are summed up in this Christ's one commandment.

Let it be said and received to all who read this, that no man is without fault, and that all have sinned. We old apostolic Lutherans feel wretched and battle sin daily in thoughts words and deeds. We believe that the church is a hospital for sinners, not for the righteous. But that all who have need to hear the testimony of Christ's shed blood, to come and see. Come and see what we have, please. Please. Everyone is welcome.

We do not preach YOU MUST THIS, YOU MUST NOT THAT, for then we would be under the law, and depending on works salvation, which is not taught in scripture neither by martin luther. BUT we do preach this, that sin is nevertheless sin in god's eyes, and that no man is righteous, and according to gods righteousness any who commit said sin is deserving of everlasting death, but we also preach christ resurrected, that he had paid all, every jot and tittle of the law is fulfilled, and through his great love and mercy redeemed all contrite souls who needed him.

We do not excommunicate, how wretched. We bewail those who left us, and long and yearn for them. We do not shun, God forbid, we encourage that they allow themselves to be examined spiritually, that they could be guided into truth and life renewed in christ. We love those who we used to know from the heart. We wish that all mankind would repent of their sins and cleave to the only foundation of salvation which is jesus christ.

With hopefull eyes we look to those who dont need the Christians anymore, who have no need to familiarize themselves with us. For where there is life there is hope.

We believe that christianity must be living. Not dead in foolish and vain abstract concepts of Philosophy and theorys of theology, not attained through the understanding and power of the intellectual mind. Not attained by the power of the will. But by submission to the holy spirit, which persuades us into the bosom of the living, which transcends all earthly pleasures of this life, which persuades them that love him to have hope in him. In that through the heart is what we understand the living feelings of christianity and personally experience the feelings of sorrow and reconciliation , notwithstanding if said fickle feelings do not arise that it is still by faith, and that any living feelings of grace are given to us by god.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO THE OLD APOSTOLIC LUTHERAN CHURCH. There is no such thing as holding people back from coming. we earnestly wish that all would feel welcome there.

PEDOPHILIA?ahhh, a dredging up of faults against the Christians… surprise.

We believe that pedophilia and molestation is in no wise a acceptable act , let alone thought. But that we do not reject any, who have a true need to repent. Let those who believed in the testimony of Christ's shed blood have a change of heart and mind, and be renewed, that would have reason to hate all sin. Also let those who believed in their heart the testimony of Christ's shed blood have peace and consolation in christ, for no matter how awful the sin, christ came for needy sinners. And what christ has washed and cleaned, let not any man or woman call dirty. As for those whome the act has befallen, or has been committed on, be at peace and God be with you through your trial, you are the apple of gods eye, precious, get consolation and help, but if we have a spirit for revenge, and wish to cause harm or damage to those who sinned against us, we trample Christ's teachings to forgive one another and to love one another. Certainly it is no light thing, and if problems persist then the law should get involved. But alas, Faults faults faults, that's all you will ever hear about the true Christians. Those who are in objection to the doctrine always seem to feel the need to reiterate the faults of them, and as always, are impartial and obscure, not wishing to engage forthrightly, but beguilingly and dishonestly. You can smell the hate.

CULT? ahhh a new name for the despised Christian's. Yes satan tries to change up his vocabulary.

The early Christians had it worse, they where brutally tortured and murdered for submitting their lives to the doctrines of christ. Jesus himself was accused of being beelzebub.

Thou art a samaritan and thou hast a devil.

The protestants in the dark ages also had it worse than us, the papal inquisitors mocking and deriding their simple principles and lowly life, butchering them for it and burning them for it.

Huss was burned at the stake for his errant doctrines, and was called a heretic

Luther was called a heretic, fanatic, a devil, wild spirit. And thy tried to kill him.

Jakob spener was called a heretic, disciple of works, enthusiast.

All so called pietists even unto this day, are highly reviled and looked upon with disdain. Especially by those stupid theologians, who won't allow their profession to be hijacked by simple common people.

The readers in Scandinavia where condemned from reading scripture and were called wild fanatics, extremists, enthusiasts, and heresy.

Laestadius dealt heavily with accusations of abuse and corruption, was also called a fanatical, a devil, wild spirit, enthusiast, ect ect.

And now we are called devils, strange people, fanatics, a cult, and you name it.

Such is the hallmark of living christianity, for wheresoever it crops up and rears its head, the prince of this world, the prince of darkness, tries to stifle it with blows. Laestadius writes something along the lines- that if the accusers of this christianity traveled through time… to the time of the roman empire and had a little discussion with tacitus it would sound like this….these so called Christian's believe that they are the only ones going to eternal life in heaven, and they are the only true followers of the one true God, …and the accuser from the present would say to tacitus, …your not the only one who is dealing with such fanaticism, we too in the future have a group who considers themselves the only true christians, they go by Old apostolic lutherans, a vile cult. And tacitus, the persecutor of the vile Christian sect, would continue on with putting them to death.

The despised for Christ's sake. A cult. A undercover in the inquisition and a bastard to the world, a strange people…honest, hardworking and industrious they say, but not to be trusted. Kind very nice, clean, decent, respectful, but dont believe your lying eyes. The world would be a better place without such deplorable pietism, and honesty they say. Come now, come come, revile us, let us be considered worthy to receive a little heckling for our belief in christ. I think I recall a blog post about the reviled old apostolic Lutheran church having a comment about putting us in camps. Ha, let it be so only may I win christ.

Notice that anywhere oalc is spoken of, it is illspoken of, it is with the fiery eyes of Caine that strike. Hatred for the truth. Oh you dont think so? How is it that christ being perfect was crucified? How is it that all aforementioned persecutions not to mention the prophets also, was able to commence? And its impossible now? A sharp eye for faults, and they will rattle em off. Look, look at this cult, look at their faults, disgusting, look at the way they live, preach, teach, look at their faults, we hate them. And the thunderous tumult cries…Crucify Crucify. And the cult is put to death.

Bring on your accusations oh satan, for we know that the definition of satan is accuser. Come, point out the faults, see if you can find reason to condemn these uneducated and devilish people. Ha let it be so.

We believe…..that such insults should be taken with joy, a willingness to be reviled by the world for the sake of christ. Amen

It's a cult.

A cult is, by definition, a severe form of service, slavery, or forcible "cultivation" by human works of the law, under the law, and subject to the jurisdiction of the law.

People are slaves out on the farm, somewhat like the Amish or Mormons. There is no grace to that meal. Some of us are just trying to get off the property before we get arrested.

When it's a sin to listen to the radio in your car, it is because those who preach it to be a sin are intent on stealing radios and fencing them for cash money, slicing brake hoses and otherwise sabotaging motor vehicles with murderous intent.

Nobody cares that much one way or another about popular "worldly music."

They've got pianos and shit in Europe and yet they preach musical instruments to be a sin in America?

I don't necessarily have the time or the money or the musical talent for that kind of stuff, but playing a musical instrument sounds to me like something for someone to do that really doesn't hurt anybody else, and I don't care to hear something like that preached to be sinful, when those bloody church people and their dear leaders are committing so much other sin that really is harming other people and destroying their lives without cause.
