Comet C/2013 A1 Siding Spring Photographed From Mars, Curiosity Sol 691, July 2014.

This image has been widely decried as fake .. which is ok since I have a problem with it as well!

[*]No Comet .. Rear Hazcam: Left B Sol 1826 (2017-09-25 05:46:24 UTC).
[*]Comet Visible .. Rear Hazcam: Right B Sol 1826 (2017-09-25 05:46:24 UTC).

That the object resembles deep space images of comets as per Comet C/2013 A1 Siding Spring that zoomed past Mars in July 2014 raised suspicions, since one would have expected it to break apart and explode when it entered Mars' atmosphere, bearing in mind the object is obviously this side of the hill line and milliseconds from impact.

If someone at NASA superimposed an image of a comet onto the Rover's computer well and good, however if the object is fair dinkum there should be images of the impact as well .. so we will see if anything turns up.
