If socialism is caring for people, should the U.S. Of A. not get more socialist?

Democrats are pretty darn socialistic, eager to carry the world on their shoulders at an expense to the national coffers and our own national best interests.

"Helping without harming is a sensitive issue. It would be irresponsibly weakening humanity, and reducing the ability to cope with life. We should not remove problems if others could master them by themselves with sufficient effort. This would be inviting them to take advantage of us and would be taking away the opportunity to learn".  (Star Gate Black Book)

its not.  Socialism is the taking from someone who made something, to give to some one who did not.   It usually means that those who work, cannot afford the things that are given for free to those who do not.   Children being the best example, with most hard working people putting off children till their 30s when it is often too late.  But those who do not work have no such restriction, in fact the more children they have the more money the state gives them.

The poor, stupid and lazy will always vote for more Socialism, ie taking money from those who work to give to them.

I was speaking of American caring about other Americans.

Those who need help have already shown by their circumstances that they have likely tried and failed to take advantage of the opportunities to learn that are already available.

The U.S. has also shown to be a lot less socialistic than other Western nations.

Socialism is showing care for others in other Western countries.

If you cannot see it then -----

With inherited wealth insuring a greater spread in equality stats show that what we are doing now is not sustainable.

You might be one of the Americans who associates social programs with communism or some other far right regime. The other Western social democrats are laughing at the U.S.

With over 7 billion humans on the planet we do not need those who repeatedly do not or can not take care of themselves when physically and mentally capable. Social programs in America are corrupt and abused and fostering generations of parasites.  I agree with Trinity.

I live in a socialist country and in a city that always had a socialist council in charge.  It is a huge disaster.   Lets look at our fabulous free NHS, where I once had to wait 6 months to see an expert.  Or where a friend died on the operating table during a routine exploratory surgery.

Socialism is not showing care.  It is taking money from those who work, to give to those that do not, and to provide sub standard services, as in the NHS or our public fool system.  Why?  Because those who run the system think they know how to spend peoples money better than those who earned the money.   I also have several in my own family who fall in to the "those who do not" side.   Their lives have become ones of sloth and idleness, for who would go to work when you can be given more money for doing nothing?  Who?   Some have not worked for close to 20 years, and this is not uncommon.

Those who are intelligent, and want to work and succeed do not want socialism.   Those who are lazy, stupid and idle of course they want socialism.

Tell me, how is it showing care for gov to take 50% of a mans earnings?  And with the threat of prison if he refuses.  Such a caring system.  Its forced charity at the point of a gun.

Would you take the job of ridding your country of those parasites?

Are you ready to kill all those that are insane?

Hardly as your own people voted for those who implemented those laws.

If a person can get more from the dole than working, that is a minimum wage problem and not the dole collectors.

You target the wrong issue.

Minimum wage is a sea anchor. Has to be a bottom line. Every time minimum wage goes up so does the cost of living and many low wage earners drift into the next tax bracket and now get less refund or will owe. The strata remains unchanged the movers and shakers will always make a good living wage. If the burger flipper wants a raise that person needs to increase his/her marketable skills by advancing education.

And yes I would by attrition support reducing the number of parasites by cutting back and eliminating social services by severe vetting of those recipients. We might use obligatory work camps and move the unemployed to where work is. Deport all illegal aliens currently occupying unskilled jobs so that our unskilled citizens can be offered work or no benefits if they refuse to work. We might correct stupid behavior by mandatory birth control. Prove you can support a family to get a permit for a child or your unauthorized child will be aborted. Your tax will increase painfully for more then two children. If the parasite refuses to comply and is forced into drug and crime for survival terminate him/her. Reacquire span of control and stop all this politically correct bull shit behind the decay of our population.

Well of course many will vote for something, when half the population lives as parasites off the other.      Students want free education. Pensioners want greater pension than they themselves earned.  Those on the dole, will happily vote for increased services that someone else pays for.    We nearly ended up with a communist government in the UK at the last election, because their leader promised students a free education.  He had not worked out how he was going to afford this of course, but this was immensely popular with 18-21 year olds, they thought someone else should pay while they enjoy the benefit.

Democracy only works when only those who pay for its decisions have a vote.   Is two wolves and a sheep voting whats for dinner a good system?

The fact of the matter is that we (The West) have allowed huge increases in low intelligence unneeded people, all while our own average intelligence people have had less children, and just as we are a few years away from the robotic age.  What are they going to do?  Robots will be driving most vehicles in only 10 years time.  Amazon are trialling a supermarket system where people just pick up whatever they want and the system automatically adds it to their bill.  If they can get robots to also stack shelves,  having had other robots drive the produce to the store, then what will low IQ people be doing?

These are all great ideas, but having watched politics for some years, I think we will do the exact opposite.

Luv your comments Trinity. Yep, humans are becoming obsolete as AI increasingly assumes control of our world. If AI can do it lazy humans will delegate and relinquish authority to AI who will soon discover humans are a problem. If we were wise we might separate the wheat from the chaff and forever limit our numbers, allow AI to accomplish all labor and services where-by all essentials could be free. No need for money or employment. (no need to pay a robot). However human nature being what it is those who want more will always wish to have more then those who have not and would not be happy if everyone had everything.
