The wise men from the east and the massacre of the innocents

The biblical account of the massacre of the innocents is no doubt that of the circumcision, which was so horrible and so strictly and severely enforced that it was considered in truth and in deed to be mass murder and mayhem. The wise men from the east (the magi) came to see the new-born King of the Jews, perhaps to inquire of the supposed necessity of this dreadful deed.

According to Matthew 2:13-15, Joseph took the newborn Jesus and his mother by night and fled to Egypt.

According to Luke 2:6-7,  "the days were accomplished that she [Mary] should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son [Jesus]...."

According to Luke  2:21, "And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called Jesus, ..."

Now it does not explicitly say that Jesus was circumcised, only that the "days were accomplished" for this ... but they fled to Egypt.

WTF does circumcision have to do with anything? Anyhow the bible contains no great wisdom, secrets or truth useful to human civilization. It fosters radical often hysterical ideology and has wasted many a life leading people astray from truth and reality, corrupting governments and fostering hatred and wars.
