equalizer_0 1
Jeff Sessions is interviewed by Robert Mueller over the Russia Investigation. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/23/us/politics/jeff-sessions-special-counsel-russia.html https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/attorney-general-interviewed-by-special-counsel-investigating-russian-interference-in-2016/2018/01/23/4f3cf45c-004d-11e8-8acf-ad2991367d9d_story.html https://www.latimes.com/politics/la-na-pol-essential-washington-updates-atty-gen-jeff-sessions-interviewed-by-1516722158-htmlstory.html Yellow journalism. The news media are frightened. Jeff Sessions fired 46 attorneys general for cause. He is too personally involved in the Russia investigation to act as prosecuting attorney in those matters, so he recused himself. It is natural that he would be interviewed extensively by the special counsel appointed in his stead. I am not sure that Jeff Sessions did anything wrong, but he has too much work cleaning up what those 46 attorneys he fired did wrong. These attorneys need to maintain their independence and personal integrity, and their work needs to stand or fall on its own merits.
