Former Fed Chairman Paul Volcker thinks 'we're in a hell of a mess'

Volker is cursing and swearing into the news media microphone as a former chairman of the Federal Reserve.

I do not in any way think that he should be prohibited from expressing his personal opinions or professional expertise on the economy or whatever other matters.

But there is something unseemly about this. A former judge, for example, does not generally express personal opinions on particular cases outside of what he or she already ruled in court on those cases.

Volker needs to be introduced in such an article with his current title, what he is currently doing, or whomever he is now working for and in what capacity.

Or else he needs to get all the way out of Washington, DC's revolving door and establish his own show and independent claim to fame before engaging in such talk show punditry.
