That is 54° below zero Celsius.

I am a little bit befuddled on the exact measurement. That is well below the freezing point of mercury, and digital thermometers tend to crack and break at that temperature like anything else made of metal or plastic.

Whiskey freezes solid, gasoline gels, and diesel fuel becomes the consistency of lard.

A herd of moose wandered into town from the woods, shivering and stamping their feet to stay warm. They were milling about stampeding in place at night.
