Quote At closest approach 13:30 GMT Dec. 21, 2020 Jupiter & Saturn will pass within 6 arc minutes or 0.1° about 1/5th the diameter of the full Moon, which will be the closest visual apparition since March 4, 1226, they were even closer on July 16, 1623 however were too close to the Sun to be seen. The Feb. 16, 1961 conjunction was 14 arc minutes or about half the Moon's diameter, another sub degree pass will occur March 15, 2080. Link to post Share on other sites
